Fr. Timothy O’Toole:

Father Tim O'Toole is a priest of the Diocese of Palm Beach. A native of New Jersey, Fr. Tim is a graduate of Seton Hall Prep and University.  Prior to his ordination in 1989, Fr. Tim taught high school and was a realtor before entering the Seminary. Among his pastoral assignments, Fr. Tim was pastor of St. Mark's parish and school in Cali, Colombia, South America.  Fr.  Tim says that his three year pastorate to the extremely poor in South America was the most joyful of his priesthood. He is grateful for this opportunity to preach on behalf of the poor through Cross International Catholic Outreach.

Kristin Taylor: Kristin is president and founder of THORN (Thankfully Helping Others Real Needs) Ministries. In the midst of a concert tour in Western Samoa in the South Pacific,  Kristin was asked to help a child born without a face. This precious baby “Gordon,” was the catalyst that inspired her to form THORN Ministries. Gordon’s short life inspired her to continue helping the disabled of Samoa and the poor of her own city of Tampa, Florida. Following the birth of her first born daughter with multiple birth defects, and the deaths of her mother, father and two sisters, Kristin’s belief that God was preparing her for a work he designed kept her focused and driven to stay positive and be a reflection of hope. Kristin is known for her inspirational speaking and singing. Her story is a triumphant story of how God turns our sorrows to joy and our mourning to dancing. She is the mother of 12 children, eight of whom are adopted. Visit her website at www.kristintaylor.com for more details of her ministry and how she is touching lives.

Jan Alkire: Jan Alkire is an international speaker and author of “Healing: Stories of Faith, Hope, and Love.” She and the late Father Leo Thomas, OP, coauthored two books on healing ministry: “Healing as a Parish Ministry” and “Healing Ministry: A Practical Guide.” She and Fr. Thomas coauthored a parish-based program called “Formation for Healing Ministry,” available through the Institute for Christian Ministries; also available: “Formation for Spiritual Companions.” Jan is a certified catechist in the Archdiocese of Seattle and vice-president of the Board of Directors of ICM. She and her husband are active in Assumption Parish in Seattle; they have twin daughters and a 2-year-old grandchild who is, of course, darling.
