Kid's Dances

At the request of parents out side of the council, (surprised me that someone else was looking at this site) we are going to include the schedule of Kid's dances as part of our activities.  Since they are now posted for everyone that means you can volunteer to be a chaperone.

First the guidelines for the dances. 

• We allow children in grades 5 through 8 to attend the dances.

• The dances start at 7:00PM and are over by 10:00PM.

• Cost is $5.00 per person and is not negotiable.

• We don't put up with any bad behavior from anyone.  If you act up you get to call your parents and ask them to pick you up.

• Once you are in the build you are there to stay.  If you decide to leave don't bother coming back.  You won't be allowed back in.

• We are not baby sitters.  When the dance is over we expect you to be there to pick up your child.

Remember these dances are for you.  If we get a lot of grief then we "WILL" cancel the dances.

There is no new schedule available at the time this site was updated.

I will try to do a better job keeping this up to date. 

Chaperones are always welcome at the dances. The next kid's dance is scheculed for Friday August, 27, 2010. All are welcome..

The council meeting is held once a month, the 2nd Tuesday 7:30 pm.  The 118 Association holds its meeting on the 1^st Tuesday of the month at 7:30 pm.

Our council hosts a large number of council activities throughout the year.

Weekly activities include Bingo on Thursdays.  Doors open at 4:45 with the first game starting at 6:45.

Annual activities include: Italian night, New Years' Eve Party, Christmas Party, Religious Appreciation Dinner,

We now have a new slate of officers. At the June 8, 2010 meeting of the council the following were elected to run the council this fraternal year. When you see them congratulate them. We have bad news about this program. Serve New England no longer exists. After 18 years of operation is has met with some unforseen events that has closed its doors. We understand that the organizers are trying to put it all back together again and if that happens everyone involved will be notified.

Spencer Council 118 of the Knights of Columbus has been with this program since the beginning. Word cannot express the sadness that we feel over the demise of this program. It has helped and supported countless people. The people that worked it looked forward to it every month. We made many friends and provided assitance to those who needed it.

We certainly hope that this can be brought back. And lastly a special thank you to Linda and Danielle for their tireless efforts in making this a wonderful program. We at the council sincerely hope that they will keep in touch. You know our phone number - don't be strangers.
