Kid's Dances At the request of parents out side of the council, (surprised me that someone else was looking at this site) we are going to include the schedule of Kid's dances as part of our activities. Since they are now posted for everyone that means you can volunteer to be a chaperone. First the guidelines for the dances.
Remember these dances are for you. If we get a lot of grief then we "WILL" cancel the dances. The next kids dance is scheduled for Friday November 6, 2009 at 7:00PM. A second one has been scheduled for November 20, 2009, same time same place. I will try to do a better job keeping this up to date. Summer is a hard time to think of web sites. Watch this space for details. Don't forget to tell every one you know.
Our council hosts a large number of council activities throughout the year. Weekly activities include Bingo on Thursdays. Doors open at 4:45 with the first game starting at 6:45. Annual activities include: Italian night, New Years' Eve Party, Christmas Party, Religious Appreciation Dinner, If you have suggestions for event let us know. All suggestions are welcome.

*Serve New England What is this thing called Serve New England? This is a food purchase and distribution program that Spencer Council No. 118 has been involved with for over 16 years. It started out as SHARE and eventually became it's own entity called Serve New England. It is a non-profit organization that allows you to purchase quality food packages for $25.00 plus two hours of community service. In general the amount of food you get would cost you twice the money at a local market. For a complete description of what it is and how you can order go to their website at www.servenewengland.org or Linda Dagley-Duval at (508) 885-5687 or Danielle Gebo at (508) 885-5993 or you could just stop down and register on the Serve Distribution days mentioned above. There is also a separate dedicated to Serve on this site just click here and see it.
