Scouting is Youth MinistryThe Winona DCCS supports the spiritual aspect of Scouting in the Diocese of Winona in southern Minnesota, promoting "Duty to God" to Catholic Scouts and within Catholic sponsored units. This is accomplished with religious emblems and activities programs and by training adult leaders. We have two administrative districts serving the Boys Scouts of America, Girl Scouts of the USA, and American Heritage Girls. See the map. The West serves parts of BSA councils Twin Valley and Sioux, while the East serves parts of Gamehaven and Gateway Area. Parts of GSUSA councils Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin River Valleys and Dakota Horizons are included. We are affiliated with the National Catholic Committee on Scouting® , an advisory to the BSA, and also with the National Catholic Committee for Girl Scouts and Camp Fire.
