Examples of songs to use today include "Eternal Father, Strong to Save" also known as the Navy Hymn, "God of Our Fathers," known as the National Hymn and "This is my Song." As for instrumental music, a little greater freedom can be exercised, but the spirit of the liturgy as worship of God for our sanctification needs to be kept front and center.
We've opted to include music about peace, healing and freedom during the liturgy and suggest possibly using one of the hymns noted above as a postlude.
