Around The Diocese

At our baptism, he called each of us to be His disciples too. Is the Lord calling you to live out your discipleship as a religious sister or brother, as a priest or as a deacon? What signs might He be giving you? Call or write Father Joe Cocucci, Diocesan Director of Priestly and Religious Vocations (302-573-3113 or jcocucci {at} cdow.org).

Megan McKenna was here with stories unearthed and given to us. They are stories to 'make us all come true.' We have a few of her books available in the parish library for you to borrow and will soon have CD's from her talks as well. See www.meganmckenna.org .

JUNE / JULY

Vacation Bible School - Our annual VBS is scheduled for June 23 to 27 at Ebenezer United Methodist Church.

Pitcher & Basin info is here! If interested in a summer work camp retreat in MD, please for an info packet and application. The work camp will run on two separate weeks: June 15-21 & July 13-19. Several of our teens went last summer and can testify to the amazing experience they had.

The National Pastoral Musicians Regional Conference will be in East Brunswick, NJ from June 30 to July 3. While details and registration are not yet available, some information is available on the website: here.

These conferences are wonderful musical, spiritual and liturgical renewal! East Brunswick is less than two hours away, so it will be possible to do single day trip. I hope you all will look ahead and see if it is possible to participate.

NOVEMBER

We will be celebrating Confirmation on Sat. Nov. 22, 2008 at the 5:30 PM Mass. Mark your calendars now!

Lectio Divina: We will be holding Lectio Divina every Tuesday morning at 10:00 am (until 10:30 am) in the Chapel. This is a prayer form used widely in Monasteries and many religious communities where we allow the Word given to us by God to transform our lives as we wait and be open to listen with our hearts. We will listen to the Gospel reading of the coming Sunday.

For Mass times and locations around the country, visit www.masstimes.org or call 1-800-MASS Times.

Catholic Forum: Tune in to Catholic Forum each Sunday morning at 10:05 am on AM 1150 WDEL. Catholic Forum features the proclamation of the Sunday Gospel, inspirational music and an interview segment.  Catholic Forum is a production of the Diocesan Office of Communications.

Please call the Parish Office (368-0146) if you are planning to leave the parish within the next three months or so.
REGISTRATION FORMS (BROWN ENVELOPES) ARE ON THE GREETERS' TABLE IN THE GATHERING SPACE TO THE LEFT OF THE DOORS TO THE WORSHIP SPACE. YOU CAN PICK ONE UP OR CALL THE OFFICE.

LAFF (Living After Fifty-Five): Every Tuesday 11:00 am.
