Guidelines, Procedures and Application for Spending

General Guidelines
- Expenditures should not be for normal operating expenses, but rather for one-time projects that enhance ministry activities.
- Preference is given to expenditures for projects that support more than one ministry.
Application Procedure
- Who can apply?
- Anyone in the parish can provide an application.
- The application form will be available from the Parish Office and on the web.
- When is the application to be submitted and funding decisions made?
- Applications should be submitted no later than July 1st, 2005.
- Funding decisions will be made no later than the September Pastoral Council meeting.
- To whom is the application forwarded?
- The application should be submitted to a member of a standing committee, along with a copy to the Pastor and the Pastoral Executive Council.
- The standing committee will review the application and forward it to the Vision Fund Review Committee.
- The Vision Fund Review Committee consists of one person from Pastoral Council, the two Trustees, a representative from Finance Council and one parishioner. Representatives from the standing committees are invited to participate, in order to provide information on the proposals, but not vote on proposals.
- The Review Committee will present the proposals at Pastoral Council for final approval.
- The Review Committee will provide a status report of all active projects to the Pastoral Council during the budget planning process ( Jan March).
- The Review Committee will manage all documentation and communication as required.
