New Communities in Poland
some photos and reflections from an American visitor

In the crucible of suffering and struggle for religious freedom has emerged new signs of hope and renewal for the Christian people in Poland.  Even before the breakdown of communism,  new renewal movements, especially among the youth, and new Christian communities have sprung up throughout Poland.  Today there is a lot of change going on in Poland -- both good and bad as western goods and ideologies flood in.

Tom Frederick, a high school teacher, track coach, and youth worker for Washtenaw Covenant Community, spent a few weeks in the summer of '97 visiting Christian communities in Poland and other European countries.  Here are some photos and reflections of his time in Poland.
