Wadi
Qelt - an breath-taking oasis in the Judean desert
The Wadi
Qelt runs through a steep canyon surrounded by limestone and chalk cliffs.
Today visitors can walk along the old Roman road which winds its way through
the valley of the Wadi Qelt. The Monastery of St.
George was founded in 420 AD by five hermits. Present monastery was
rebuilt around 1900.
