A Westbank Check-Point
The Israeli army heavily patrols the occupied territories
where Palestinians live, many in crowded conditions especially in the Gaza
strip. Check-points are maintained at major roads to prevent many Palestinians
from leaving the occupied territories. Long delays at the check-point are
a common occurrence. Some cities, such as Jerico, are now completely cut-off
by trenches 8 feet wide and 5 feet deep.
