About Us
In 1976, Cardinal Baum then Archbishop of Washington established the Office of Black Catholics. We are establishing an African American Ministry here at St. Columba to serve as a vital communication link in our Parish, with neighboring Parishes, the Archdiocese of Washington, the Office of Black Catholics and the National Black Catholic Congress.
One service we plan to provide here at St. Columba is to promote information sharing of our rich, vibrant African American Catholic history. Participation in our Parish Information Fair is just one way we plan to share.
