Council Meetings are held on the first and third Mondays of the
month. If the day falls on a legal holiday, the meeting
may be held on that day unless the Council has voted to cancel the
meeting or move it to another day. Check the Council
Calendar for such a change.
- The first Monday meeting is the business meeting. The Officers and Chairmen
meet at 6:45 p.m. All Council members are invited, as well as members of the Guild and CBC.
The general meeting begins at 7:30 p.m.
All major items are discussed and voted upon (if needed) as well as other
items of business that needs to come before the membership.
- The second meeting of the month, the third Monday, also begins at 7:30 p.m., and
is considered the "social meeting" with no business discussed. If, however, there
is an urgent item that needs to be attended to and cannot wait until the next business
meeting, that item, and only that item, will be attended to, and the social meeting will
continue.
- The third Monday may seem crowded, as St. Bridget Guild meets in one of the other
rooms at 7:30 p.m. This way they can join the Council members afterwards for
the social. They do not conduct meetings during the summer months of
July and August.
It is best to check the Calendar for all these events and/or changes.
Columcille Building Corporation (CBC) officers have their executive meetings
on the second Monday of the month at 8:00 p.m. All are invited to attend. The
general membership meetings are held four times a year and are announced when the schedule
date is set.
