Board Nominations 2004
Each year as the general body of the CCFM gathers at its Annual Conference, it has the responsibility to fill expired terms of members of the Board. This year we have a lot of activity in this category.
Due to resignation of Ruth Gonzales, Archdiocese of Denver, in accordance with the By-Laws, President Ken McGinity nominated Tim Tillman of the Diocese of Fresno to fill her vacant position. The Board of Directors supported this decision and Tim accepted this post. We wish to extend our thanks to Tim and welcome him back to the Board.
Three terms expire this year: Jim Detrick, Ken McGinity and Terry Stephens.
Terry Stephens of the Diocese of Scranton will not run for reelection. We thank Terry for his three years on the Board of Directors.
Ken McGinity, our current President, has decided to not run for reelection as well. Ken will continue on the Board, as past president, in an ex-offcio capacity. He will also serve as the nominating committee chairman for the Board of Directors.
As of this date we have four individuals who have submitted their names for consideration to the Board. They are as follows:
_
Jim Detrick of the Archdiocese of Miami, FL is running for reelection. This would be his second three-year term. Jim has served on the Membership Committee and on the Corporate Alliances Committee of the Board.
Richard deStowlinski of the Archdiocese of Washington, DC. Richard has 13 years working for the Archdiocese, after several years in the private sector of the construction industry, and is interested in offering his time and talents to our organization.
William Kramer of the Diocese of Orlando, FL is interested in serving on the Board. Bill has been employed by the diocese for 19 years and brings a wealth of experience in his capacity as an architect.
Dan Lauder of the Diocese of Rockford, IL is interested in sharing his talents as a member of the Board. Dan brings several years of experience as a facility manager and program director for the diocese as well as several years experience in the public school sector. He has been a regular attendee at our conferences.
We have a very impressive group of talented individuals that wish to offer themselves for consideration and service. I ask that each of the official delegates from their diocese reflect on these individuals and decide which three candidates would best serve our organization.
