Our convention is scheduled for April 25-28 at the Sheraton Hotel on historic Canal St. in downtown New Orleans. Late spring gives us cool mornings, warm days, and cool evenings; perfect weather for sitting in a French Quarter patio with a cup of coffee. Our hotel is just two blocks from the Vieux Carre, six blocks from the St. Louis Cathedral (1850's), three blocks from Immaculate Conception Church (1920's), and six blocks from St. Patrick's (1840's). You will also be within walking distance of the Aquarium of the Americas, Woldenberg Park on the Mississippi River, and the Riverwalk Shopping Mall (also on the river).
During your stay you can enjoy dining at some of our restaurants, shopping for antiques along Royal and Chartres Streets, taking a plantation or garden district tour, riding the streetcar through uptown, or listening to street musicians as you stroll through one of the oldest cities in the South. By chance, our convention dates straddle the two weekends of the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, so spend a few extra days with us either before or after the meeting and enjoy one of the finest jazz festivals in the country.
