Advent is a call to return to fervent prayer – to you, my God, I lift my soul – that is, the truest part of me, the being, contemplative part which so easily becomes anaesthetised by the activity which Advent seems to usher in, the shopping and the Christmas parties and the worrying about money and the holiday.

A very warm welcome to our parish. We are fortunate to have a fine church. It’s upkeep has been helped by the Gift Aid programme which has worked well for us in the past and we have therefore begun to make efforts to ensure that offerings made by visitors during Mass are included in our Gift Aid scheme. If you are a UK taxpayer, and if you place your offering in the white envelopes found in the Foyer and simply enter your name and address, we will be able to reclaim the tax you have paid on the amount given. Envelopes can be posted in the letterbox in the Foyer, given to a parish Welcomer, or placed on the Offertory tray.
WEEKLY MASSES ARE AT 6PM ON SATURDAY
Sacrement of Reconciliation every Saturday 5.15pm - 5.45pm
