The Clergy
| Monsignor Gordon Read is Chancellor and Judicial Vicar of the Brentwood Diocese, and Parish Priest at Kelvedon since October 2000. Born and brought up in Leigh on Sea, he trained for the priesthood at St. Edmund's College, Ware, and Heythrop College, University of London, after a degree in Classics at Exeter College, Oxford. He was ordained deacon in 1975, and after a year at Newbury Park, was ordained priest on 31st July 1976. He then served as assistant priest at Wansted (1976-1977 and 1979-1983, with a break for canon law studies in Rome), and Barkingside (1983-1988), before moving to Ingatestone and Stock as Parish Priest in 1988. |
| Fr. Frank Jackson was ordained Deacon at St. John's Seminary, Wonersh on 4th July 1998 and priest at Brentwood Cathedral on 12th June 1999. He is assistant Priest in the Kelvedon parish and has also been appointed to assist in Anglia University's ecumenical chaplaincy. He is a former Anglican clergyman. Prior to being received into the Catholic Church, he was Priest in Charge of All Saints, Cressing with St. Barnabas, Tye Green and before that he was Assistant Curate at St. Peter-ad-Vincula, Coggeshall. Fr. Frank is married to Anne, a primary school teacher. |
