MINISTRIES
ALTAR SERVERS: Any person who has made their First Communion may apply to learn how to assist at the Altar. Training usually begins in the Autumn and consists of weekly meetings until the candidates are proficient.
LITURGY GROUP: people who are interested in enhancing the Liturgy.
MINISTERS OF THE EUCHARIST: Communion is distributed under both kinds at all Masses, with the assistance of Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist. The Ministers also assist with taking Communion to the house-bound and sick .
MINISTERS OF THE WORD: Readers are required for all Masses.
CHOIR: sing at 11.00 am Mass
YOUTH CHOIR: Young people who sing at specified Celebrations.
CHURCH CLEANERS: normally meet in the Church after 10 a.m Mass on Mondays and Thursday. If you are able to assist in this ‘Honoured’ work you will be most welcome.
CHURCH COLLECTORS: assist with Offertory and retiring collections at the Sunday Masses. Assistance is always very welcome!
WELCOMERS: greet the parishioners in the porch on a Sunday with the newsletter and books. More help will be very welcome!
CATHOLIC WOMENS LEAGUE: ‘CHARITY, WORK, LOYALTY’ meet monthly on Thursdays in the Committee room of St.Cedd’s hall at 8 pm
PARENT AND TODDLER GROUP: meet every Monday in the Lower hall from 10.00 am to 11.45 am.
