What is Together We're Better?

Together We're Better is a program in which you purchase negotiable gift certificates and prepaid cards that are used just
like cash. You can use the certificates and prepaid cards to purchase everyday items like groceries, clothing, and other
essentials plus dine out at your favorite restaurants. The greatest benefit is every purchase will earn money for our
school and parish. Our parish purchases these gift certificates and prepaid cards at a discount and re-sells the certificates
and cards to families like yours for full face value. For most purchases, unless noted, 3% credit will go to the parish.

Example: you spend $200.00 per month on certificates. Yearly you would spend $200 x 12 months = $2400.00. You
get the full $2400.00 to purchase items. Using a vendor that pays 6% - our school and parish would receive $144.00.

Changes to the program

In the earlier stages of this program, the 6% received from the vendor was divided between the parish and the purchaser for
paying book fees, donating the amount to the parish, or receiving additional gift cards. Today, Federal Tax law prohibits the
benefits of earnings or assets of an exempt organization to private individuals. In reality, total proceeds from TWB sales are
not affected. The parish and school will still benefit. Unfortunately the TWB program will no longer be able to apply
proceeds to individual families.

When and where can I purchase gift certificates and cards?

Gift cards can be purchased after all masses. (Summer sales may vary) They also can be purchased at the Rectory during
office hours and through School during school hours. We have a variety of gift cards on hand and there are also others that
can be special ordered and picked up the following week. Any special order gift cards are normally available Thursday of
the following week.

Where can I find the list of stores that participate in this program?

Our order form is available on the website for you to look at. You will see there are "In Stock" items and also "Special
Order" items. All "In Stock" items are usually available during our sales times and "Special Order" items will be ordered
when requested and available for pickup the following Thursday. Please take a minute to look at our order form and see if
you find any of the regular retailers that you visit. We have tried to list the more common retailer/restaurants that are in our
area or we feel that are the most popular. If there is a retailer or restaurant that you do not see listed but you would like to
see if they participate in this program, please ask. We can look at the full list and see if they are available. If they are, we
will gladly order them for you.

I don't see Schnucks listed. Do they participate in this program?

Schnucks has their own program in which you can go to any store and sign up for a scrip card. Every time you make a
purchase from a Schnucks store you show this card and you will receive 1% for every purchase made. There is no
prepaying for gift cards with this program.
