St. Norbert Catholic School Newsletter
October 2, 2008
"Give me a F; give me a R; give me a O; give me a G; what's that spell?; FROG!" In Fr. Tom's homily at our
weekly liturgy, he taught the students that cheer and explained that FROG stands for Fully Relying on God. I would like to thank Mrs. Spellmeyer and 3S for preparing and participating in this week's liturgy. They did an awesome job!
Spotlight on Parent/Teacher/Student Fall Conferences – Forms were sent home recently to sign up for a 1st
Quarter conference time. This year we are having conferences on Thursday, November 6th from 3:15 PM – 7:30 PM and on Friday, November 7th from7:30 AM – 10:00 AM. Please indicate the time you would prefer and return the form by Friday, October 10th. Mrs. McHugh makes every effort to accommodate your time and your need to see more than one teacher if you have multiple children in school. Conference times will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis. This is a Parent/Teacher/Student conference. Every effort should be made to include the student in the conference. Note: If your child is in First Grade or 6S there is a separate sheet to sign-up for conferences.
St. Norbert School is hosting a Barnes & Noble Book Fair on Saturday, November 15th at the Cross Keys location.
Please mark your calendar and plan to shop early for Thanksgiving and Christmas!
More information will follow as we get closer to the date.
School pictures will be taken on Tuesday (K-5), 10/7 and Wednesday (6-8), 10/8. Students may be out-of-uniform
on picture day. Please consult the handbook for out-of-uniform guidelines.
Last week I requested that you keep Sr. Rose in your prayers. She has been moved to the hospice wing at Mary
Queen Mother on the Cardinal Carberry Campus on Watson Rd. She is resting comfortably and welcomes visitors. She does ask that no one come this Saturday. It is the Feast of St. Francis, the patron saint of the Franciscan sisters and she will be celebrating with the rest of the sisters in her order.
