St. Norbert Parish Council Meeting Minutes
Thursday, March 10, 2005
Attendance: Fr. Pat Ryan, Kevin McMichael, Joe Mooney, Bud Alexander, Risë Schreiber, John Brendel and Jill Anselm
Absent: Ron Taylor, Ken Poorman, and Rick Gwydir
February meeting minutes were approved. Parish Council minutes will be posted on the parish web site and organizations can retrieve the minutes from the web site instead of each organization being emailed a copy. This decision was made because of not having email addresses for all organizations and that the minutes were returned as undeliverable through email. It is the responsibility for each organization to obtain a copy of the approved minutes through the parish web site.
Pastors Report:
Old Business:

the 40th Anniversary celebration.
The celebration will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2005 starting with
5:00 Mass. A Pot-Luck dinner will follow
the
2. Nominations for new Parish Council Board Members will be held in April 2005. Announcement in the bulletin will be on March 27, 2005. John Brendel will get the nomination forms to the ushers to put in the pews on the weekends of April 3 and 10, 2005. Nominees will be contacted during the next week. Fr. Pat will meet with the nominees on April 24, 2005 after the 11:00a.m. Mass to explain membership on the council. Fr. Pat will draw three new member’s names at Mass on May 1, 2005.
3. Pledges to our Stewardship Program are not being met. A follow-up letter will be sent to parishioners. We will add to the parish bulletin the amount
that was pledged in this drive so parishioners can see if we are meeting
our commitment.
New Business:
1. Fr. Pat has received complaints from parishioners that they have not been contacted by organizations that they signed up to join at the Ministry Fair in September. Each council member will contact the head of the organizations under their commission to remind them to contact these parishioners.
2. At the Leadership Meeting held in January each organization was given a Mission/Vision Organizational Goal form. To date only 12 out of 65 organizations have returned the form, which were supposed to be returned by March 1, 2005. Each council member will contact the head of the organizations under their commission to return their forms.
The meeting closed with a prayer by Kevin McMichael. The next Parish Council Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, April 14, 2005.
Respectfully Submitted,
Jill Anselm
