Saint Norbert Parish Council Meeting Minutes 01/07

Attendees: Fr. Rich; Joyce Zuellig; Luis Martinez; Fr. Jim; Jill Anlsem; Tom Kienstra; Carol Schnieder; Peggy Scott, Pat Veits, Marty Bucheit.

Letter / Communications – Future meetings will be on the third Monday of every month.

Pastor's Report

The Church Color Sign – Still in the works

The rectory - Modifications to this facility are still being evaluated.

Capital Campaign - As stated previously a town hall meeting may take place along with other activities to address specific funding needs for our parish. Details will follow …  

Direct automated contribution to church is going to be a convenience reality in the near future for our parishioners. Estimated revised date of implementation will be in the third week of Feb 07  

Chirp Update – will take place in March. It will consist of two separate retreats like segments. One weekend will be for the ladies and another weekend will be for the gentlemen.

A discussion on centralized accounting methods for our Parish took place and it was evident that Father Jim has a good handle of the situation.

Announcements: Rick Unger has been assigned to be our very own marketing person.

He brings to us a wealth of experience in Marketing. We are lucky to have him!

Ken Poorman is the new music director at Saint Norbert. He is already proven to be a great asset and is also involved in other areas of our parish even in the Board.

Fr Rich’s Birthday Bash was also reviewed. Everyone was excited to be part of it. 

Father Jim wanted us to reiterate that HE IS VERY HAPPY WITH THE ATHLETIC COMMISSION

Father asked everyone to bring some names of people who would be willing to run the picnic and the auction.

Father said that accommodations are being made for preschools.

Marty presented the many activities scheduled for Catholic school week. Among others they were: the men commission luncheon, 8 th grader retreat and the purchase of a Salad Bar which will be featured for the first time at the men’s luncheon.
