There is no shortage of children in our midst, and their spiritual growth is a priority for us. Our goal is to see them included in the next generation of holy men and women. Anticipating the unified Parish School of Religion as outlined in the Pastoral Plan for the City of Steubenville, Holy Family Parish is opening their C.C.D. classes to the Servants of Christ the King. These classes, for children in grades K through 8, are held on Tuesday evenings from 6:00-7:30 p.m. beginning September 20, 2005. To obtain more information, contact Mrs. Barbara VanBeveren (304-527-4562). The First Penance and First Communion classes will continue to be held at Holy Name Cathedral. To register for First Communion preparation, contact Pat Coyle, Servants of Christ the King Parish secretary. Our parish gives support to those parents who choose to place their children in Catholic schools. Since we don't have our own school, the parish covers any additional expense incurred with "out of parish" tuition from a Catholic grade school in the Diocese. |
