Brief History
On May 26, 1907, a parish meeting was held and the parishioners voted in favor of constructing a new church.  The congregation elected nine men to serve as a Building Board.  Construction of the church began in May, 1908, by Hir and Zierten Construction Company of St. Cloud.  Boehme and Cordella of Minneapolis was the architect of the Renaissance-style church.  The church was completed for the Easter Services in 1909 at a cost of $40,000.  Parishioners donated many ours of hard labor during the construction of the churc
h.

The past couple of years the Maintenance Committee has been reviewing the condition of the buildings of our parish.  After many, many hours of research and hard work by the Maintenance Committee, the Committee made the recommendation to Christ The King Parish Council to begin a major Renovation Project.  Based on the results of the Parish Survey, the Parish Council made the decision to move forward on the major Renovation Project for Christ The King Parish to begin the Spring of 2003.
