THE LAURISTON CENTRE
FOR
CONTEMPORARY BELIEF AND ACTION

The Lauriston Centre for Contemporary Belief and Action was founded in 1998 as a centre for adult theological education. Its aim is to provide opportunities for exploring within a Catholic intellectual and faith environment an understanding of religious beliefs appropriate to modern conditions, and their implications for individual and joint behaviour and action.

Lauriston Centre Emblem The emblem of the Centre is taken from an ancient gateway in the grounds of Lauriston Castle, near Edinburgh, which depicts the lion rampant of Scotland holding the cross of St Andrew, patron saint of Scotland.
