REBECCA ST. JAMES LIVE IN CONCERT! 

Sunday August 29th at the Effingham High School Cafetorium will feature REBECCA ST. JAMES LIVE IN CONCERT!  Sacred Heart Parish in Effingham will host a mass and a cookout prior to the concert on the 29th.  The cost for the concert is $12.00 and if you can put a group of 10 together the cost drops to $10.00 each.  The concert is open to all denominations and they expect it to sell out  soon.  Who is Rebecca St. James?  One of the top 50 up and coming Evangelical   Leaders Under 40.  She was part of the Pope John Paul II visit to St. Louis for   the youth rally this past January at the Kiel Center.  Again please contact us   early as this event will sell out long before the concert.  Questions call Kevin 235-2285.  Sacred Heart has not let us know the cost on the cookout and I will post that as soon as it becomes available.

YOUTH MINISTRY FUN IN THE SUN @ LAKE SHELBYVILLE

August 8, 1999 Mattoon, Decatur, and Vandalia Parishes are planning a fun outing at the beach in Shelbyville. The time is from 1-7 p.m. We are planning to cookout, swim, and have a large pontoon-type boat (depending on availability and finances). Everyone is asked to bring food and drink for his/her self. EXODUS PROJECT LEADERSHIP TRAINING

Exodus Project's goal is to create young leaders for our church today! The project was created by a group of youth ministers within the Springfield diocese. Their goal is to create a leadership training opportunity for youth who may have missed CLI. This program will give youth an opportunityy to learn about leadership in an environment friendly to teenagers. It is hands-on and group interactive, as the program is an intense three days of training. The Exodus Project will be on August 15-17th, starting at 2 p.m. and ending at 2 p.m. on the 17th.
