During the month of May, Rosary will be at the home of Carmen Shepard at Walker & 7th St. Apt #7. This takes place on Thursday evenings at 6:00pm. All are welcome. Ministries for the weekend of May 4 & 5: Parish School of Religion (PSR) Classes:This Sunday is the last PSR class until fall. Enjoy your summer. RCIA:We will continue with these classes all summer, every other week. If you are interested or know someone who is interested, please talk to Fr. Jarek or Sr. Darlene. Coffee & Donuts:Coffee and donuts in the hall this Sunday. All are invited and welcome. Parish Council Meeting:Parish Council is scheduled on June 5 at 6:30pm. Finance Council Meeting:is scheduled on June 12 at 6:30pm. Sacred Heart Parish will hold elections this May for our Parish and Finance Council seats. We invite any confirmed parishioner, age 18 or older, to consider running for above mentioned Councils. Members are elected for a 3 year term and they are advisory boards to the Pastor. While your role on either Council would be a leadership role with substantial parish impact, the time commitment is moderate with one meeting bi-monthly, periodic commission meetings and some work outside the meetings. CLS Meeting:CLS Will meet again May 1 at 2:00pm in the Marre Room in the school. All are welcome. Caruthersville Recreation Center:We now have a group membership plan; the group can offer the individual membership for $10.50 per person. There will be a sheet on the table mid-April if you are interested. Please put your phone # beside your name. DDF:The annual Diocesan Development Fund appeal will be held on May 4 & 5. This effort is conducted in every parish of the diocese to help finance the activities and programs of the Catholic Church in southern Missouri. Our parish goal is $12,693.00 and our donor goal is 50. We ask you to keep the DDF campaign in your prayers and to please be considering your donation.
