The Waitsburg Society is a service organization within St. Mark's Catholic Church. We meet monthly starting in October. We usually meet at the home of one of our members. In November we collect food for the community food bank. December brings the Christmas Basket Raffle. Members donate items and sell raffle tickets to help fund our charitable works. For December's meeting we each donate layette items to give to charity. One hundred dollars worth of layette items and diapers is given to Catholic Charities.

We also help clean and decorate the church for Christmas. On the first Sunday of the month we provide dinner after mass and enjoy fellowship. Father Robert Turner leads us in discussion on our faith and how our World affects our faith. In April we serve dinner at the Christian Aide Center in Walla Walla. We end our year with Easter cleaning and lunch.
