PASTORAL COUNCIL
The Pastoral Council is an advisory group to the Pastor. It assists him in discerning the mission and vision of the parish by being aware of the concerns and needs of the parish.
The council is composed of 9 parishioners, 18 years of age or above, elected from the parish, plus 3 members appointed by the Pastor, for a total of 12. Council members serve a three-year term. Additionally, the pastor may appoint ex-officio members representing the staff and parish organizations. Council member selection occurs in April.
The Council meets on the first Monday of the month from September through June. When the first Monday coincides with a holiday, the meetings are transferred to the second Monday. Meetings are at 7:00 PM in the Parish Office Building. Except for special planning meetings, the council sessions are open to any parishioner to attend. |
CONCILIO PASTORAL
El concilio pastoral es un grupo consultivo al Pastor. Le asiste en discernir la misión y la visión de la parroquia estando enterados de las preocupaciones y de las necesidades de la parroquia.
El concilio es componido de 9 parroquianos, 18 años de edad o más, elegidos de la parroquia, más 3 miembros mas que son designados por el Pastor, para un total de 12 miembros. Los miembros del concilio sirven un término de tres años. Además, el pastor puede designar a miembros adicionales para que representen las organizaciones del personal y de la parroquia. La selección del miembro del concilio ocurre en Abril.
El concilio se reúne el primer Lunes del mes a partir de Septiembre a Junio. Cuando el primer Lunes coincide con un día festivo, las reuniones se cambian al segundo Lunes del mes. Las reuniones son de 7:00 PM. en el edificio de oficinas de la parroquia. A excepción de reuniones especiales, las sesiones del concilio están abiertas para cualquier persona que quiera atender. |
