Family Prayer for Vocations Othello, 2004
(To be prayed daily as a family around the chalice)
In the name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen
1. God we pray that You may bless us with more vocations to the priesthood and Religious life.
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name: Thy kingdom come: Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread: and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation: but deliver us from evil. Amen (1 time)
Hail Mary, full of grace; the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen. (Repeat 3 times)
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
2. God we pray for our Seminarians at Bishop White Seminary that they may grow in wisdom, holiness and love for You and your people.
(1 Our Father, 3 Hail Marys and 1 glory be…)
3. God we pray for Our Pope John Paul II, our Bishop William and all of our priests that they may always faithfully proclaim your Word.
(1 Our Father, 3 Hail Marys and 1 glory be…)
4. God we pray for our Religious brothers and sisters that they may always follow the example of Christ and their founders.
(1 Our Father, 3 Hail Marys and 1 glory be…)
5. God we pray for the young people in our community that they may always have You as the center of their lives to be a good example for other youth.
(1 Our Father, 3 Hail Marys and 1 glory be…)
All together say:
Loving God, in every age, you call people to service and sacrifice for the sake of the Kingdom. With hope in our hearts, we pray for our seminarians. Thank you for helping them to respond to your call and give them the grace they need as you send them to serve the people of Eastern Washington. As our seminarians seek to follow your will, inspire our diocesan family to support them along their journey to priesthood… Amen
