Charismatic Prayer Group

The Sacred Heart Prayer Group which meets on Friday evenings at 7.00 p.m. in the Friary Basement is a Charismatic Prayer Group.

It is a community of Christians who come together for Prayer, Fellowship and Service. We are committed to praising and worshipping God with joy and enthusiasm, to share scripture and teaching, to ministering the baptism in the Holy Spirit and opening peoples' lives to the charismatic gifts, to fellowship and to service.

The main purpose of our meeting is to assist our brothers and sisters to a more personal relationship with God and to fulfill, through the First Commandment, to love God, by worshipping, adoring, praising and thanking Him.

We also know that it's important to pray for each other and for the needs of the Church and of the world. Our work of intercession includes the exercise of a healing ministry for the members of the Prayer Group and other people in obedience to Jesus' command to 'Heal the sick' (Luke 10:4).
