Memorial Concert

One of our organists, Richard Hamilton, has organised a concert in aid of North West Kent Life, in memory of our former MP and councillor Bob Dunn, who died in April. The concert was at St Anselm's on Saturday 29th November 2003 at 7:30pm. Tickets cost £5 including refreshments. Thanks to Richard, everyone else who supported this event and with the support of Barclays Matching Funding Scheme, £2,767.16 was raised.

Goodbye Fr Raj

On November 2nd we said goodbye to Fr Raj and thank you for standing in as assistant priest for the last few weeks.


Celebration of Pope's Jubilee

On Wednesday 22nd October, the parish will hold a day of celebration of the Silver Jubilee of the solemn inauguraton of John Paul II as supreme pastor of the Holy Roman Catholic and Apostolic Church.
Let us thank God for all the wonderful things He has done through our Holy Father.

Prayer for the Pope
God our Father, shepherd and guide, look with love on Pope John Paul, your servant, the pastor of your Church. May his word and example inspire and guide the church and may he, and all those entrusted to his care, come to the joy of everlasting life. Grant this through Christ, our Lord.

CaFE - Catholic Faith Exploration

A series of hour long talks (on video) from 14th September to 26th October at 4:30pm on Sundays in Our Lady's School Hall.

05th October - Knowing God's Help
12th October - Knowing God's Word
19th October - Knowing God's Spirit
26th October - Knowing God's Hope

Ordination of Fr Philip Glandfield

Philip Glandfield has been a regular parishioner at St. George's in South Darenth, since he was a child. As an altar server, senior altar server and then seminarian he has been a well known and active member of the parish.
On September 6th 2003 he was ordained by Archbishop Michael Bowen at St. George's Cathedral.
On September 7th at 9:30 am at St. George's South Darenth he celebrated his first Mass.
On September 8th he celebrated his first Mass at St. Anselm's at 7:30 pm.
