St. Gregory's were recently chosen to play
in the Small Schools 5-a-side Competition at Adlington
School against 12 other schools .We liked this tournament
because in previous years we had won it or came
runners-up so we had a really good chance. |

| Our third
Match was against Adlington and we knew
we had to pass the ball well to beat them. But we did
just that and won 3-0 in end. Our fourth Match was against Pott
Shrigley, who we knew were very hard because
they had very good players on their side. But we used our
skill and passed the ball around and eventually we won
2-0. |

In the last few weeks our school Netball team have been playing some matches. Here are all the results:
Adlington 3 St.Gregorys 2 Rainow 0 St.Gregorys 5 Dean Valley 5 St.Gregorys 0 Pott Shrigley 0 St.Gregorys 6 Bollington Cross 1 St.Gregorys 5 That wasn't a bad first season, it was a good season. Three out of five wins was good. Eighteen goals is brilliant through the first season.

Our school
entered the 'Small Schools Swimming Gala' earlier this
year, along with thirteen other schools. Some of our
swimmers went through to the finals, where I came 2nd in
the Freestyle event. I have got my Silver Medallion and I can swim over 1,000 meters. |
| My
classmates and I all enjoyed Chelford Small Schools
Sports Day. Our major success of the day was when Jonny
and Kim won the heat for the Relay Skipping, then they
came third in the final. Chris, Harriet, Philip and Lucy also had good rankings. I came eighth in throwing. Other people like me who didn't have great achievements all had smiles on their faces! I think that it was a well organised event that we all enjoyed. |
