About Our Town - Bollington

View of Bollington

Bollington, located 4 miles from Macclesfield, is an industrial village, built in and around a narrow valley on the fringe of the Cheshire Pennines. It nestles quietly beneath the ridge of Kerridge, where the high moors of the Peak District meet the Cheshire Plain.

Bollington is renowned for its friendly locals and community-spirit. At one time it had more pubs per head of population than anywhere else in England - this probably explains why the area is known as the "Happy Valley"!
