|CALLED by the Father’s love to be His people, through the Passion-Death-Resurrection of Jesus Christ, His Son,
and made holy through the workings of the Holy Spirit, we are the parish of Saint Stanislaus, Bishop and Martyr,
in Nanticoke, Pa. in the Diocese of Scranton.
RESPONDING as that People of God, sometimes broken by our sinfulness, we feel the need of Jesus’ reconciliation
and peace, and we strive to accept His Gospel in our hearts.
Using that Gospel as a mandate, we offer praise and worship to the Almighty as a community of faithful disciples.
We celebrate 7 sacraments, we accept the traditional Creeds of the Catholic Church, we acknowledge the authority
of the Ordinary of this Diocese, as he works in collegial union with his fellow Bishops, especially the Bishop
of Rome, the Pope, the rightful successor of St Peter as head of the Universal Church.
We work toward the goal of BUILDING A PARISH COMMUNITY, visible to the world at large, but bonded internally
by our spiritual oneness with God and Neighbor. This bond-ing includes our attentiveness to the poor, the handicapped,
the disadvantaged, the elderly, and all those experiencing any real need.
Thus may we proclaim the “good news” (EVANGELIZATION) through endeavors of sharing our Time/Talent/Treasure
(STEWARDSHIP) and speak in word and action the love that God has for all of mankind. (PROPHECY).
