Oct 6-9, 2005: Men's Cursillo Retreat 240 - Rector: George Anderson

Oct 13-16, 2005: Women's Cursillo Retreat 241 - Rectora: Denise Caster

Team School for both the men's and women's weekends commences at St. Therese, 6016 Camino Rico, San Diego 92120-3099 on Friday evening 22 July 2005. We will start gathering at 6:30 pm with Team School starting promptly at 7 pm.

A note from George Anderson The Men's Team for Cursillo 240 is beginning to form up and I am delighted with the men who have already come forward, eager to serve our Lord once again in this very special calling. I feel very blessed, and both humbled and joyous that I have been given this sacred opportunity to serve as your rector. Our Theme for the weekend is: "Come follow me" Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men." Matt 4:19. Applications for candidates are beginning to come in and must be in by 1 September. How wonderful it will be if our community is able to sponsor a full slate of candidates for the October weekends.

In His love and service, George Anderson

Speaker: Father Ian is a diocesan priest from the twin-island republic of Trinidad and Tobago who was ordained in 1988. In Trinidad, he labored as the pastor of 17 parishes, administering up to 10 simultaneously with the help of lay assistants. He directed eight Catholic schools. In his home diocese of Port of Spain, Father Ian has been notable for calling all Catholics to withdraw from pre-Lent Carnival festivities, charging that they have degenerated from Catholic cultural celebrations into debauched occasions of mortal sin.
