Religious Education is available to everyone at St. Matthew's from 3 years old through adult. At every age level we emphasize the necessity of on-going conversion and spiritual growth, remembering that the deepening of our faith and spiritual development are never completed.
Pre-school (ages 3-5)
Classes are held on Sunday morning during the 9:30 a.m.
& 11:00 a.m. Masses in the School. Children become more aware of God's
great love through Bible stories, songs and activities. Classes are held
from the first Sunday in October thru the end of April.
Grades 1-8
Classes range in size from 5-10 students and meet in the
St. Matthew's Catholic School building and in neighborhood homes. Classes
begin first week in October and end the last week in April. Class times
are available on each grade level to fit most any schedule.
Vacation Bible School
A dynamic and popular program held two weeks in June from
9:00 a.m. to noon for children age 4 thru 5th grade. St. Matthew's Vacation
Bible School teaches children about their Catholic Christian faith. Parents
and kids love it so register early!
High School Religious Education
Classes for grades 9-12 are held in the St. Matthew's School
Building Sunday thru Tuesday from 7:00 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. Confirmation Classes
are offered to students in their Junior and Senior years. A Fall and Spring
Retreat are held during the school year.
Youth Ministry Teams meet Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in the McDonald Center
and are open to any student who wishes to take an active role of leadership
in the Parish Youth Ministry.
Adult Education
Special spiritual and personal growth opportunities are
available to adults, including preparation for Confirmation, Catholic update
courses, Bible study, seasonal workshops, prayer groups and many others.
