The Lord's Prayer
Traditional/Liturgical Contemporary Scriptural
Our Father,
   who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done on earth
   as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our
   daily bread;
and forgive us our
   trespasses
as we forgive those who
   trespass against us;
and lead us not into
temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
(Amen.)
For the kingdom,
the power,
and the glory are yours,
now and for ever.
Our Father in heaven,
   hallowed by your name,
   your kingdom come,
   your will be done,
   on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our
   daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
   as we forgive those who
   sin against us.
Save us form the time
   of trial
   and deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the
   power, and the glory are
   yours, now and for ever.
Amen.
"Our Father in heaven,
hallowed by your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily
   bread;
and forgive us our debts
as we forgive our debtors;
and do not subject us to
   the final test,
but deliver us from the
   evil one."
-Matthew 6:9-13
"Father, hallowed by
   your name,
   your kingdom come.
   Give us each day our
      daily bread
   and forgive us our sins
   for we ourselves forgive
      everyone in debt
      to us,
   and do not subjects us to
      the final test."
-Luke 11:2-4

Angel sent by God to guide me,
be my light and walk beside me;
be my guardian and protect me;
on the path of life direct me.

Morning Prayer
Almighty God,
you have given us this day.
Strengthen us with your power
and keep us from falling into sin,
so that whatever we say or think or do
may be in your service and for the sake of your kingdom.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Lord, watch over us this night.
By your strength, may we rise at daybreak

who lives and reigns for ever.

Thanksgiving After Meals
We give you thanks for all your gifts, almighty God,
living and reigning now and for ever.
Amen.

Act of Faith
O God, we firmly believe that you are one God in three divine
Persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; we believe that your divine
Son became man and died for our sins, and that he will come to
judge the living and the dead. We believe these and all the truths
that the holy Catholic Church teachers, because you have revealed
them, and you can neither deceive nor be deceived.

Act of Hope
O God, relying on your almighty power and your endless mercy
and promises, we hope to gain pardon for our sins, the help of
your grace, and life everlasting, through the saving actions of Jesus
Christ, our Lord and Redeemer.

Act of Love
O God, we love you above all things, with our whole heart and
soul, because you are all-good and worthy of all love. We love our
neighbor as ourselves for the love of you. We forgive all who have
injured us and ask pardon of all whom we have injured.

Prayer to the Holy Spirit
Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful.
And kindle in them the fire of your love.
Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created.
And you will renew the face of the earth.
Lord,
by the light of the Holy Spirit
you have taught the hearts of our faithful.
In the same Spirit
help us choose what is right
and always rejoice in your consolation.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

The Jesus Prayer
Lord Jesus Christ,
Son of God,
have mercy on me, a sinner.
Amen.

The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty,
   creator of heaven and earth.
   and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.
   who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
   born of the Virgin Mary,
   suffered under Pontius Pilate,
   was crucified, died, and was buried;
   he descended into hell;
   on the third day he rose again from the dead;
   he ascended into heaven,
   and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty;
   from there he will come again to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
   the holy catholic Church,
   the communion of saints,
   the forgiveness of sins,
   the resurrection of the body,
   and life everlasting.
Amen.

The Nicene Creed
I believe in one God, the Father the almighty,
   maker of heaven and earth,
   of all things visible and invisible.

I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,
   the only Begotten Son of God,
   born of the Father before all ages.
   God from God, Light from Light,
   true God from true God,
   begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father;
   through him all things were made.
   For us men and for our salvation
   he came down from heaven,
   and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate
   of the Virgin Mary,
   and became man.

For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate,
   he suffered death and was buried,
   and rose again on the third day
   in accordance with the Scriptures.
   He ascended into heaven
   and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
   He will come again in glory
   to judge the living and the dead
   and his kingdom will have no end.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
   the Lord, the giver of life,
   who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
   who with the Father and the Son
   is adored and glorified,
   who has spoken through the prophets.

I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church.
   I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins
   and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead
   and the life of the world to come.
Amen.

Act of Contrition
My God,
I am sorry for my sins with all my heart.
In choosing to do wrong
and failing to do good,
I have sinned against you
whom I should love above all things.
I firmly intend, with your help,
to do penance,
to sin no more,
and to avoid whatever leads me to sin.
Our Savior Jesus Christ
suffered and died for us.
In his name, my God, have mercy.

I Confess
I confess to almighty God,
and to you, my brothers and sisters,
that I have sinned through my own fault
in my thoughts and in my words,
in what I have done,
and in what I have failed to do;
and I ask blessed Mary, ever virgin,
all the angels and saints,
and you, my brothers and sisters,
to pray for me to the Lord our God.
