Queen of Angels

We have good news. Two sisters are coming to work at Queen of Angels. Sr. Marge Zacharias, OSF is a Franciscan from Sylvania, OH. She will be working full time. Sr. Carol Ann Collins, SSND is a School Sister of Notre Dame from Belleville, IL. She will be working with Sr. Marge part time, both in giving of retreats and in programming and planning future events. Sr. Marge is in Israel on a sabbatical at this time. She will be able to come around the first of June. Sr. Carol Ann will come a month earlier. Capuchins will still be involved, doing sacramental work and/or helping with the retreat input.

We recently hosted the retreat for priests of the diocese, and it was then that Bishop Ken announced to them the condition of his health. He is taking a leave from his work in the diocese, as indicated in the news, while Fr. Tom Sutton acts as administrator of the diocese. Let us pray for Bishop Ken, Fr. Tom and for the diocese.

We are continuing to look ahead to a maximum use of this retreat facility. Some of the events scheduled for the near future are:

March 24 --Lenten Day of Prayer (10:00 to 3:00, lunch included) March 31 --Lenten Day of Prayer (10:00 to 3:00, lunch includcd)
March 31 --Lenten Evening of Prayer (6:00 to 10:00, dinner included)
April 28 --A pilgrimage by bus to the Solanus Center in Detroit (Fr. Solanus Casey is a Capuchin who died in 1957. His canonization is in process. The center has his tomb, a museum of his effects, gift shop, etc. The Capuchin Soup Kitchen will be included in the tour as well as a stop at Capuchin Retreat in Washington, MI).
May 7-8 --Mother-Daughter Retreat (Fri. with dinner through Sat. cvcning with dinner).
May 14-16 --Centering Prayer Retreat
May 21-23 --Retreat for Men of AA
May 20 --Cleaning Day
June 18-19 -- Father-Son Retreat (Fri. with dinner through Sat. evening with dinner).

Don't forget the Golf Outing on June 18th. Let the golfers know!
