page and reflect on what it means to be non-violent. There are some
inspiring words there, a prayer, and a Peace Pledge.
The Council is nearing the end of its ten
year venture into promoting peace and non-violence for the benefit of the
children of the world. Forum articles for 2010 are posted on this site. A final
celebration will be held on October 10. See details below.
The
Council established ten themes to correlate with the United Nations Decade of
Non-violence 2001-2010. Listed below are the themes for the ten years. Those
that are completed have links to the articles and other information pertaining
to that theme. In all cases individuals and families are encouraged to gather
in groups to discuss peace and nonviolence. It is hoped that action will flow
out of the dialogue which will change hearts and create a more aware, loving
and kind community. From this, ripples of peace will flow out to the broader
world.
