PARISH CLUSTER REPORT Holy Trinity For October 2005 |
|
Clustering Continues to Grow As cluster parishes we moved to a new stage this past month as our parish councils, commissions and committees met on the same night at St. Mary's. It all began with a potluck with a wonderful array of food and much good conversation. After a brief orientation each commission or committee met to discuss parish business and concerns about Liturgy, Education, Christian Service, Stewardship and Administration. We filled just about every corner of St. Mary's church building and parish center. Discussion was lively, although the noise level in St. Patrick's Hall proved to be a bit distraction. We'll make the necessary adjustments for the next session. Then we all gathered for prayer in the church, followed by a meeting of each of the parish councils. All in all, it was a very positive experience. As we progress into the year we will have opportunities to share with one another more easily, since we are all meeting in the same place. I am excited about the possibilities as we continue to learn and grow together in our three parishes. Another cluster event was the Annual Cluster Mission, hosted by St. Hedwig's this year. Fr. Bernie Weber led the mission. It was a great way to renew our minds as well as deepen our life in God's Spirit. I hope all took advantage of the mission, to bolster your faith. As a follow up to the Cluster Mission, I will be teaching a class entitled, "An Introduction to the Gospels," at Holy Trinity Church on Tuesday evening's, beginning October 18th through November 15th. The sessions will be from 7:30 to 9:00 PM. So many of you have expressed interest in learning more about the Bible. What better place to start than the Gospels? The sessions are open to anyone high school age or older. I hope that they will be both informative and fun. If you decide to come all you need to bring is your Bible. Hope to see you there! Fr.
