OUR LADY OF POLAND ROSARY SOCIETY

From the very beginning of our Parish, the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was honored by our Polish people when they named their Church, Our Lady of Poland, in tribute to their beloved heavenly queen.  Subsequently, a few months later, the Rosary Society was formed in May 1919.

Its purpose exists primarily to praise and honor the Blessed Mother and to secure her patronage by the recitation of the Rosary to the mutual benefit of ourselves and members throughout the world. What is this devotion on a string of beads consisting of a chant of three prayers;  the Lord's Prayer, the Hail Mary and Glory Be on each decade of ten beads?

The true meaning of the Rosary is a fervent meditation reflecting the life of Mary and her Divine Son through the Joyful, Sorrowful and Glorious Mysteries.
The Rosary Society of Our Lady of Poland dedicates every third Sunday with a Mass said for the intention of the Rosary, and in the month of May a ceremonial crowning of our heavenly Queen, and Rosary devotions in the months of May and October.

To those who have devotion to her Rosary, Our Blessed Lady has made special promises to them, which in essence, bestow many graces and who will become worthy of eternal life. Truly, the Rosary is Mary's own prayer and her call to us as we journey our way to God!

In May 1994, we celebrated the Diamond Jubilee of Our Lady of Poland Rosary Society.  With love and in the spirit of thanksgiving, we continue to aspire to Mary's call.  Each day after the daily Mass, a collective group prays the Rosary,
honoring Our Blessed Lady and with fervent devotion contemplating her patronage.
