A Brief History of Southampton Council #1967

Approximately 80 years ago Southampton Council received its Charter from Supreme Headquarters in New Haven, Connecticut. From that time until the present we have been a viable force in support of the Roman Catholic Church, its teachings and principles. A hard working group of Catholic men have kept our image alive until the present time.

We are now what is known as a Round Table Council involved in the assistance of three Churches in our jurisdiction:   Sacred Hearts Of Jesus and Mary, 168 Hill Street, Southampton, N.Y. 11968 Our Lady Of Poland, 35 Maple Street, Southampton, N.Y. 11968 Queen Of The Most Holy Rosary, P.O. Box 3035, Bridgehampton, N.Y. 11932

 

The goals of Knights of Columbus: We are committed to the Pro-Life Cause; Participate in the Procession for Life; Sale of Roses on Mother's Day, Proceeds to Birth Right of Peconic; Support of a Seminarian at Immaculate Conception Seminary;

• Sponsor Buses for Pro-Life Mass to National Shrine of The Immaculate Conception, Washington, D.C. and St. Patrick's Cathedral, New York City;
• Assist in the sale of chances for N.Y.S. K of C Charitable & Benevolent program that provides funds to the eight N.Y. State Dioceses and many other charitable works. of mercy  when called  upon to do so;
• We support many Youth and Senior programs in our community;
• We participate in the annual Independence Day Parade with the Commander John J. Shea Assembly Color Corps Honor Guard.

We believe every Catholic Gentleman should be a member of the Knights of Columbus for we are The Right Arm Of The Catholic Church!
