ON MISSIONS AND RETREATS Throughout Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia, into places where those six pioneers of a hundred years ago penetrated perhaps only in their dreams, the Redemptorists are travelling today, working and preaching "The Fullness of Redemption", giving heart to the disheartened, and Heaven to the lost.
On arrival in Australia, the Redemptorists gave their first Mission to the people in Newcastle, and their first Retreat to the Priests in Sydney.
The Mission was in the parish of Lambton-Wallsend, and it attracted so many people that it had to be prolonged to give everyone an opportunity to make the most of this first experience of Renewal in their Faith.
On all their Missions and Retreats, the Redemptorists have always brought with them what they regard as their greatest gift to Australia, the picture of Mother of Perpetual Help.
