The Church calls us to eat less than two meals Ash Wednesday and Good Friday.
That is, one meal may be a full meal, and the other two together are to be less
food than one meal.
Many people ask when Lent ends.
Technically it ends the
afternoon of Holy Thursday. However, the Triduum celebration, by its very
nature, calls us to continue an attitude and practice of fast and abstinence –
eating much less that we would otherwise and abstaining from meat – until after
the Easter Vigil on Saturday.
