November 1, Christ the King welcomes Sarah
to the parish staff as Pastoral Associate for Adult Formation and
Pastoral Care. Hailing originally from Denver, Sarah has spent the past eight
years as, among
many things, Director of Religious Education and Youth Minister at the Shrine of
St. Therese, Pueblo. Sarah holds a degree in Theology from Franciscan
University, Steubenville, Ohio. Married to Brandon Nelson,
who works for the Knights of Columbus in the area, Sarah and Brandon have three
children: Molly, John Paul and Matthew. Sarah's parents, Frank and Kathy Drotar,
are parishioners here at Christ the King.
The position Sarah will hold remains 1/3 pastoral care, 1/3 worship and 1/3
adult formation. Because Sarah brings new sensibilities to the position, it will
likely evolve toward different emphases. We are delighted to have Sarah with us.
Please give her a warm welcome beginning All Saints Day. 542-9248 EXT 21

simplify our bookkeeping procedure for Mass stipends, we will no longer schedule a Mass until it is
paid for. We are sorry for the inconvenience but it is getting impossible to
reconcile our Mass stipends some weeks. Envelopes will soon be available in the
pews to use for Mass requests and stipend payments.
People who use only one envelope a month can use the lower half of their contribution information
and their mailing envelope to make their contribution either by mail or the collection basket.
Do not include DMF or Mass offerings.
Those who wish to donate weekly and did not pick up their packet at the beginning of the year,
need to come to the office and pick up a weekly envelope packet for the rest of the year as these are not mailed.
You can combine with your tithe , your building fund and needy contributions
and other donations of your
offerings and your DMF donation.
Those who use weekly envelopes will receive quarterly
statements. Please note that designating "other" is not your tithe but goes to special collections for that particular month or something you designate. If there are no special collections, and you do not specify a special need, your contribution will be posted to tithe.
