CHRIST THE KING RELIGIOUS FORMATION

Registration for Elementary, Middle and High School Religious Formation has begun this week. All those who had children in the program last year should have received in the this year’s registration forms. Or you can pick up registration forms in the Narthex after Masses or at the Parish Office during the week or on the . Parents meet and classes begin September 19. The RCIA/Adult Enrichment classes are from 6:30-8pm in Sr. Joan’s room. Remember, these classes are open to the entire parish. Come learn more about our faith, get to know our candidates for this year and make them welcome in our faith community.

Steve Escalara, our newly appointed Deacon

Bishop Fernando Isern has appointed Deacon Steve Escalera to serve our parish effective August 17, 2010. This is a 3-year appointment. Please join us in welcoming him to the parish. Steve is the husband of our RE Administrator, Laura Escalera. How fortunate we are to have them at CTK!

Adoration Program

Fall Mass Schedule 9/11-12

Saturday Mass remains at 4:30 p.m. Sunday Masses: 8:15 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Free childcare Mass in the Formation Center during the 10:45 Mass

Michelle Whitney, Pastoral Associate

As of July 1, we will welcome Michelle Whitney to the position of Pastoral Associate at Christ the King Parish. Michelle has her Masters degree in Pastoral Studies and has been an active member of our parish for many years as well as becoming increasingly involved as a staff member. She has been our Adult Enrichment Coordinator and will continue in that capacity as well. She is well prepared to take on the role of Pastoral Associate. She will be in charge of the RCIA program.

MASS REQUESTS—To simplify our bookkeeping procedure for Mass stipends, we will no longer schedule a Mass until it is paid for. We are sorry for the inconvenience but it is getting impossible to reconcile our Mass stipends some weeks. Envelopes will soon be available in the pews to use for Mass requests and stipend payments.

Envelope Information
People who use only one envelope a month can use the lower half of their contribution information and their mailing envelope to make their contribution either by mail or the collection basket. Do not include DMF or Mass oferrings.
Those who wish to donate weekly and did not pick up their packet at the beginning of the year, need to come to the office and pick up a weekly envelope packet for the rest of the year as these are not mailed.

You can combine with your tithe , your building fund and needy contributions and other donations of your choice except mass offerings and your DMF donation. Those who use weekly envelopes will receive quarterly statements. Please note that designating "other" is not your tithe but goes to special collections for that particular month or something you designate. If there are no special collections, and you do not specify a special need, your contribution will be posted to tithe.
