The Giving Tree-Information

As a community of believers, we invite you to spend this Advent season actively awaiting the birth of Christ; look for Him in the face of the poor. Please consider participating in our annual "Giving Tree" which you will find in the Narthex.

There are two ways to get involved:

1) The "Giving Tree" will be filled with gift tags for families to take and return with a gift. Return gifts with the gift tag securely attached to the wrapped gift and place it under the "Giving Tree." Once again we will be helping the El Pueblo: An Adolescent Treatment Community. This non-profit organization serves the needs of "at-risk youth between the ages of 10 and 18 and their families."

2) The "Giving Tree" will also be filled with

envelopes for families to take and return with money. Return envelopes may be placed in the collection basket during Mass OR dropped off at the Parish Office during the week. The money will be given to A Caring Pregnancy Center and will help with their operating costs and will also be given to "needy" moms. We will also collect diapers sizes 3, 4 and 5 in the boxes provided in the Narthex.

The Caring Pregnancy Center is

concerned for the large number of new single moms in our community. Their first focus is prevention. They

advocate abstinence until marriage, however, when a woman chooses

otherwise and finds herself pregnant, they are there to walk the journey with her. The Center offers multiple services and all are free of charge.

The "Giving Tree" will remain in the Narthex November 21st to

December 13th. .Please return your "gifts" by December 13th.
