Bereavement Support Group Forming at Christ the King

Many surviving family members find themselves with confused, even troubling thoughts and feelings following the death of a loved one. The Bereavement Support Group will provide you the opportunity to work through your grief in a very supportive environment, with other parishioners. You will learn how grief affects you emotionally, physically, and spiritually. As you learn more about grief, it becomes less threatening and easier to cope with. You will learn to dispel common myths, such as: grief and mourning are the same experience, and there is a  predictable and orderly progression to the experience. For many grievers being able to open up and talk about some of the difficult and painful issues of grief helps the healing process. JOIN US: Thursday mornings, 9:30 –10:30am at Christ the King, beginning August 14th, 2008. If you are interested in attending, please call Joe Gomez at 542-0531 OR Michelle Whitney, Coordinator of Adult Enrichment, Christ the King Parish at542-9248, ext.21.
