The Journey in Faith program provides adults in our community with opportunities to develop a living and active faith.  We seek a deeper understanding of Scripture to guide, transform and fulfill our faith lives.  Through prayer, discussions, reading, reflection and rituals we seek to deepen our relationship with God and to strengthen our faith.  Through the congeniality and openness of the group, we support and encourage each other in difficult times and celebrate together the good news in our lives.

The Journey in Faith group meets every Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. for about 90 minutes in the parish center and the evenings end with refreshments.  The topics we cover are varied and informative and frequently are suggested by the group.  The group is open to all adults in the community, and anyone may “come and go” as they please.  There are no restrictions to participation other than adulthood!  Come join us as we continue our journey in faith together…  Also, every Wednesday at 1:00 Deacon Tom Boutier leads an adult group in Bible study.  For more information, contact Rita St.Pierre via email at saints1972us@yahoo.com.

Comments from participants:

“I first attended when Fr. Ken presented the subject of boundaries.  I keep going because I need to get closer to God.  I like how Rita and Dan are able to present subjects in such an interesting and warm manner.  I have been challenged to become more open and honest in my sharing.”                                                                                                                                               Ralph B.

“The first time I decided to attend the meeting, I never quite made it, I talked myself out of it.  The very next week I tried again.  I drove to the rectory and was still not sure whether or not I would go in.  I said, OK Lord.  You either want me to do this or you don’t, so what’s it going to be?  Needless to say I did finally go in, and that was 10 months ago, and I’m still attending… After several weeks of attending and listening to people in the group…, I was in awe of the reaction of everyone around me.  They were kind, compassionate, understanding and knowledgeable.  I now felt comfortable enough to start sharing with the group.  It felt great, like a huge burden had been lifted from my heart.  This is one of the reasons I keep going back.  It has helped me become a stronger person, and strengthened my faith, not only in myself but in others as well.  Please come and join us; I can guarantee it will make a difference in your daily life and in everything you do.”                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          Carol F.
