Application for a Wedding Date

The priests of the parish would like to bring the following to the attention of applicants:
bullet

Registered members of the parish may file an application for a wedding date.

bullet

Registered and religiously practicing members of the parish may expect an approval on their application.

bullet

If both parties are practicing Roman Catholics, a Nuptial Mass may be appropriate.

In the following situations a Nuptial Mass would be inappropriate:\

bullet

If both Catholics are not (or even if one is not) religiously practicing;

bullet

If one party is not a Catholic (and/or not) religiously practicing;

bullet

If one party is not a baptized Christian.

In all the above cases where a Nuptial Mass would be inappropriate, the Nuptial Ceremony would be used.

Please take note:

The appointments you will need to make to complete the interviews and paperwork before marriage cannot always be made in the evening or on the weekends.  You must be prepared to keep appointments made during the week and during daytime hours.  We all do this for other necessary professional appointments.  It is not possible for a parish office to make evening or weekend appointments to the exclusion of all other times.
