On
Tuesday evenings, from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., the Bible Group meets in the
parish office building. This particular study group began many years
ago in order to offer our parishioners the opportunity to become more
acquainted with the Bible in a relaxed, informal, yet spiritual setting.
The
Tuesday Night Bible Group ministry welcomes everyone and there is no
pre-registration. The number of people present at meetings varies
because people attend as they are able. Several parishioners have
joined this ministry recently after participating in the Disciples in
Mission groups because of the similarity of formats.
The
learning tools for the ministry are a Bible and a copy of The Word
Among Us, which is available through subscription. Meetings open
with prayer and then participants read aloud the essays and meditations in
The Word Among Us. Verses in the Bible are used in
conjunction with the readings. The discussions that follow enable
everyone to expand their knowledge through listening and sharing with
others. Through this ministry, people develop a growing enthusiasm
for the Word of God and say they enjoy making time in their lives for
Bible reading.
One
of the goals of this ministry is to help others appreciate the Word of
God. To share this stewardship of time and talent, you are welcome
to stop in some Tuesday evening or to contact Tony Basilio Sr. for more
information.

Patrick Church has another Bible Study ministry that may be of interest to
