Saint Katharine Drexel, the foundress of the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament, was canonized a saint on October 1, 2000.  St. Katharine's mission among Native Americans and African Americans began in 1891 and continues today.  Her shrine is located in the 110-year old historical Motherhouse of the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament, 1663 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, Pa., just a few minutes north of Philadelphia in Bucks County.  The shrine is open every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.  For more information, please call (215) 639-7878.

National Shrine of St. John Neumann at 5th and Girard in North Philadelphia. The shrine hosts programs that include a talk about the life of St. John Neumann and a guided tour of the Shrine.  The tour lasts about an hour.  Parking is available in two lots within walking distance from the Shrine.  For more information, please call (215) 627-3080, ext. 131.

National Shrine of St. Rita of Cascia Shrine:  The Shrine of St. Rita offers a quiet place for prayer and recollection in the midst of the city, seven days a week.  The shrine is located at 1166 South Broad Street in Philadelphia.  Please call (215) 546-8333 for more information.
