The Ladies of St. Patrick

This is probably the longest continuing ministry of our parish, having begun its work in 1964.  The ministry has seen changes over the years but that signifies the group's willingness to serve our Church however it is needed.

Among the ministry's best known activities are the bake sales, which are held annually the first weekend in December, on Palm Sunday and on the Day of Recollection.  The Ladies of St. Patrick have provided significant financial support to St. Patrick School Library and the parish PREP.  Monies donated by Ladies of St. Patrick also assist with tuition at our school.

Membership is approximately 35 individuals.  Meetings begin at 1:30 p.m. in the parish office building on the third Tuesday of each month from September through April, except for December.  Business involves planning activities, as well as some informative programs.  Membership is open to all women of the parish and dues are only $5 per year.

All activities of the Ladies of St. Patrick exemplify the ministry's stated purpose, which is to assist in the spiritual well being of all women in the parish by way of devotion and social activities and caring for the special needs of the school library, rectory, Church and community.

When asked to comment about the Ladies of St. Patrick, president Natalie D'Angelo noted that over the years, the members of this ministry have initiated many activities that have been the basis for other ministries to start, and that this ministry has enjoyed working for our parish.  While pleased with past efforts, the members of the ministry are always ready to assist the parish when called upon today.

For further information about how you can share the stewardship of time and talent of the Ladies of St. Patrick, please contact Natalie D'Angelo at (610) 793-1452.
